Train531 (“the App”) is developed by Aaron Hampton. This privacy policy explains how the App collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information We Collect

Training Data

The App stores your workout data locally on your device, including:

  • Exercise names, sets, reps, and weights
  • Personal records and training maxes
  • Workout session dates and durations
  • Profile information (name, experience level, goals, available equipment)

iCloud Sync

If you have iCloud enabled, your training data is synced via Apple’s CloudKit framework. This data is stored in your private iCloud container and is not accessible to us.

AI Coaching

When the App generates workout prescriptions or analyzes your progress, a summary of your recent training history is sent to our API server. This summary includes:

  • Recent workout sessions (exercises, sets, reps, weights)
  • Your training maxes and experience level
  • Available equipment

This data is forwarded to Anthropic’s Claude API to generate personalized coaching responses. We do not store your training data on our servers. It is processed in real time and discarded after the response is generated.

Device Information

When you first use the App, a unique device identifier is generated and stored in your device’s keychain. This identifier is used solely to manage your free trial and subscription status. We do not collect your name, email address, Apple ID, or any other personal information.

Information We Do NOT Collect

  • Email addresses
  • Names or real-world identities
  • Location data
  • Health data (HealthKit is not used)
  • Contacts, photos, or other device data
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or usage tracking data

Third-Party Services

Anthropic (Claude API)

Training summaries are processed by Anthropic’s Claude AI to generate workout prescriptions and progress analysis. Anthropic’s privacy policy applies to data processed by their systems. Visit anthropic.com/privacy for details.

Apple (App Store & iCloud)

Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. iCloud sync uses Apple’s CloudKit. Apple’s privacy policy applies to these services.

Data Retention

  • On device: Your training data remains on your device until you delete the App or clear its data.
  • iCloud: Synced data remains in your iCloud account until you delete it.
  • Our servers: We do not retain your training data. Device identifiers used for trial management are retained only as long as needed to manage your subscription.

Data Security

All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS encryption. Your device identifier is stored securely in the iOS Keychain. Training data on your device is protected by iOS’s built-in data protection.

Children’s Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
